Why Poor Man is being more poor in India ?

IT HAS REPEATEDLY BEEN SAID THAT NUMBER OF POOR PEOPLE IN INDIA ALWAYS REMAINED ON THE HIGHER SIDE AND THAT IS THE REASON WE HAVE BEEN RECOGNIZED AND KNOWN IN THE WORLD THAT WE ARE A COUNTRY OF BEGGARS!

Aisi baat nai hai ki sharif aadmi amir nahi hai par uske liye bhi hame kuchh mehnat karni padti hai jo ki hum nahi karte - Kritika Ahuja (View Profile)
Bcoz rich man rules and poor man accept the way rich man rules them. v need to fight corruption n sky rocketing prices of essential commodities.- Raja Nabam (View Profile)

It is debatable while i do acknowledge that corruptn. free n control on prices alone can't make poor richer. govt. policies n programmes for them is required. - Raja Nabam (View Profile)

The vohra report contained several observations made by official agencies on the criminal network which was virtually running a parallel government. It also discussed criminal gangs who enjoyed the patronage of politicians — of all political parties — and the protection of government functionaries. It revealed that political leaders h...ad become the leaders of gangs. They were connected to the military. Over the years criminals had been elected to local bodies, State Assemblies, and even the Parliament. The unpublished annexures to the Vohra Report are believed to contain highly explosive material.  The economy of India was under socialist-inspired policies for an entire generation from the 1950s until the late 1980s. The economy was subject to extensive regulation, protectionism, and public ownership, leading to pervasive corruption and slow growth. License Raj was often at the core of corruption. The Vohra Report was submitted by the former Indian Union Home Secretary, N.N. Vohra, in October 1993. It studied the problem of the criminalisation of politics and of the nexus among criminals, politicians and bureaucrats in India. There are 115,000 individuals in India with high net-worth. Since 2000, this elite group has grown an average of 11 per cent annually. Between 2006 and 2007, the number of wealthy individuals in India surged by 23 per cent, which is the highest growth rate in the world.
However, the wealthiest have the lowest level of giving at 1.6% of... their household income for charitable purposes.
"While the 'high class', which is ranked one level below the 'upper class' on the income and education scale, donates 2.1% to charity, the middle class gives 1.9% of household income to philanthropy," says Arpan Sheth, partner, Bain & Company.
The percentage of India's GDP that is spent for charitable purposes is only 0.6 where the percentage is 2.2 in the United States.
Now take the reverse of the below mentioned situation. Suppose there is one job opening and only 5 persons applied for it. No one is completely fit for job then the person who is matching the job criterion more will get the job and on his mentioned price (Suppose person asked for Rs 25000 and there is no other candidate fit for job th...en company have to give that because that position cannot be vaccant).

HENCE POOR BECOME POORER
Ex2. Take the example of business. Suppose a man is having 3 general stores and living a happy life. He got married and give birth to 3 sons when the sons become fit for business then each one get one shop. Now what happened in this situation the father was 3 times richer than individual son because his son has only one shop if compared to 3 shops of father. Sons are poor than father. Simply because of higher growth rate among poors.
Due to higher growth rate of labor class, supply of labor increases more than demand. As the result the owners of organization have much higher bargaining power as the result the wages do not increase in the same proportion as inflation. (I know I sound like economist therefore I would ...like to quote some example to make this simple).Ex1. Suppose there is a job opening and applications are 100. out of one hundred 10 persons are fit for job. Then the person who quote for LOWEST SALARY will get the job (let company hired on Rs 10000 and also reduced its training cost). - Tarun Gupta

Yes its because the ratio between the price rise & income is getting bigger & bigger day by day - Nidhi Sinha

If we re-think again, we will find a big mess in whole system.
We all are not taking any straight action even we are not thinking...
we are at good start as we discussing it...but what the hell these POWER HOLDERS doing...betterment of people or this nation...actually they are on themselves.- Nickhil Aryan

The biggest reason is the illiteracy among poor which leads them to just make their contribution in increasing population.- Gagan Sharma

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. - Appy Sharma (View Profile)

Its a good thought reservation on the basis of poverty but any type of reservation is bad for those people who don't see day or night & study hard bt at the time of they don't selctd by litl differcence bt reserved prsn gt selected who has less marks than him/her. I think dr is a role of illiteracy in poverty but main role of govrmnt policies in starting every country has illitrate people bt dy form such policies so they bcm developed. - Ila Rawat (View Profile)
